Skin Pharmacy Launches Skin AI Tool

We’ve officially launched Skin AI , Skin Pharmacy’s answer to quick, easy personalised skincare recommendations. Simply upload a photo of yourself, receive a report designed for you and then shop your expert-approved skincare recommendations.

Skin AI, analyses your skin within sections and gives you a personalised report with 9 categories:

  • Translucency

  • Uniformness

  • Redness

  • Lines

  • Pores

  • Eye area condition

  • Hydration

  • Acne

  • Pigmentation

It gives your estimated:

  • Skin type

  • Skin tone

  • Perceived skin age

  • Perceived eye age

Based on these categories, you’ll receive a complete routine recommendation, including both morning and evening routine. You can add these recommended products straight to your basket based on your personalised report. Each product contains a description and the areas of your skin it's helping improve, plus exactly when to use it in your routine order.

Did we mention that it’s completely free, too?

It doesn’t replace our team of experts, but it does help with decoding your routine and quickly upgrading your beauty shopping.

"At Skin Pharmacy, we’ve always believed that skincare should be as unique as the person using it. With Skin AI, we’re harnessing the power of technology to give everyone fast, personalised insights into their skin, helping them understand and care for it better."

- Mahmoud Metwally, Chief Pharmacist

Skin AI in action

Beauty contributor Tori tried out the tool to show you exactly how it works.

  1. It all starts with a selfie. Make sure you’re bare-faced and in good, natural lighting. Show your face front-on to the camera and snap a photo.

  1. Upload it to Skin Pharmacy Skin AI and watch it analyse your complexion.

  1. Then, get your scores. It’s important to remember that scores of ‘bad’ doesn’t mean your skin is inherently ‘bad’, it just means these are the areas you could focus on should you choose to.

Top tip: I’d suggest taking the analysis in the morning and in the evening as your skin changes throughout the day. For me, this meant my skin showed up as oily as my photo was taken in the evening, whereas in the morning, I find my skin to be on the dry side. It may give you slightly different ages, too. And, like me, maybe even shave multiple years off your actual age!

  1. Finally, start shopping! Get personalised recommendations that you can add straight to your basket and delivered straight to your door.

I was recommended comforting creamy cleansers that’ll help rid grime from the day without stripping my skin, antioxidants that’ll brighten and keep free radicals at bay, and, of course, sunscreen to protect my skin from daily harmful UV rays.
