• Glycolic acid – is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that is clinically proven to loosen the glue-like bonds that hold skin cells together, thus shedding the top layer of dull, damaged, and ageing skin.

• Sodium ascorbyl phosphate – SAP is a watersoluble, highly stable form of vitamin C. It is a powerful antioxidant that helps to boost collagen.

• Pycnogenol® – Pinus pinaster, also called Maritime Pine is a rich source of flavonoids, catechins, proanthocyanidins, and phenolic acids. It offers antioxidant skin protection, helps to reduce hyperpigmentation, and improves the skin barrier function. Maritime Pine has shown to stimulate collagen synthesis while simultaneously reducing UVinduced wrinkle formation, making it an ideal ingredient for age-reducing formulations providing healthy and youthful-looking skin.

• Galactaric acid – is an antipollution active ingredient. It interferes with melanogenesis and improves the appearance of disolourations and bags under the eyes. It also helps to protect the skin from oxidative stress and contributes to reduce the signs of premature skin ageing.
  
  Pyruvic acid – helps to induce an increase in the deposition of collagen, elastin, and glycoprotein in the papillary dermis thereby contributing to the reduction in fine lines & wrinkles. Its keratolytic action will contribute to improve dull skin.

• Retinol – is a key ingredient that promotes skin renewal and enhances collagen production. It is converted to its biologically active form in the skin – retinoic acid – where it binds to CRABP-I and CRABPII proteins helping to transport it into the cell nucleus where it targets the genes. Retinol helps to trigger the activation of transcription factors: Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) for keratinocyte proliferation and the TGF-β / CTGF pathway (Transforming Growth Factor beta / Connective Tissue Growth Factor) for fibroblast activation and extracellular matrix restoration. Retinol contributes to the reduction in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and age spots as well as hyperkeratinisation. It is an antioxidant that helps to protect the skin against ROS-induced DNA damage. Retinol helps to increase epidermal thickness, skin firmness, and elasticity as well as collagen production.
